Mountain View High School is offering the opportunity for local businesses to take a proactive approach to vocational education for special needs high school students through their Community Training program.
At Mountain View High School in West Ada County, students with special needs have the unique opportunity to participate in the Community Training Program. The program has been in operation for about 15 years, and partners with local small business owners to provide work experience opportunities to junior and senior high school students. Students travel off school campus to work in a different business each semester and complete various tasks associated with that industry. The purpose of the program is to provide a well-rounded view of possible careers for each student.
