On Meridian’s Main street sits a bungalow-style house that’s home to Epi’s Basque Restaurant. Since 1999, Epi’s has given the treasure valley access to traditional Basque food, and the social customs that surround it.
“We were raised sitting around a long table for longer-than-usual periods of time – sharing information and visiting with each other at my Grandma Epi’s house, or my parents’ home, every evening,” said Christine Ansotegui. “That was something I had grown up with, and I wanted to replicate it so more people could enjoy the food and the custom.”
